Momanyi
Momanyi Nyabonyi - Managing Partner

Momanyi is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Certified Secretary, and an accredited Governance Auditor. She completed her Certified Secretaries Professional Examinations in December 2011 and was admitted to the Roll of Advocates on 22nd January 2014. She has previously worked as an Associate in the Firms of Kiruti & Co. and Munyao Muthama & Kashindi Advocates.

Momanyi is passionate about equity, fairness and justice, values which have seen her develop an interest in legal compliance and good governance. She collaborates with leading consultants, including the Kenya School of Law, in conducting legal and governance audits for organizations in a bid to promote good corporate governance as well as facilitating seminars and workshops on law and governance.

She has previously served as a member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICS) Taskforce for reviewing and developing Governance Standards. She is also a Company Secretary and Legal Advisor for a leading multinational not-for-profit organization and several corporations in the trade and manufacturing sector.

Momanyi enjoys playing with kids, is an avid runner and makes time for travelling to climb mountains and walking on sandy beaches. She loves conversations with new people and delights in good food.

Lydiah Bochere Oyaro - Partner

Bochere is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a qualified company secretary awaiting certification and a redemptive entrepreneur.
Justice be our shield and defender best describes how she views and aspires the world to be. She sees justice as the vehicle that shall deliver a thriving world for all humanity and slay the giant of inequality.

As a redemptive entrepreneur she is always on the look out to partner with God in the addition of value for her clients and her team in order to create a win-win environment for all. She is keen on reviewing business processes and redesigning them to get the best result for every team player. She also works to review corporate trade practices and empowering grassroot entrepreneurs to be the best they can be. She has a growing interest in formalization of businesses and how the law can be used to create stability, predictability and scale indigenous business ventures.

To wind down, she enjoys a novel, a thought provoking philosophical read or listening to a podcast.

Tessie
Tessie Maina - Corporate Commercial Associate 

Tessie is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and an alumnus of the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. She handles the Firm’s security documentation and perfection at the Companies and Land Registries. She has practical experience in carrying out extension of Leases, and Sub- division of Properties in the various Government departments.

Tessie is a member of the Joint Liaison Committee (JLC) comprised of members of the Business Registration Service (BRS), Law Society of Kenya (LSK) – Nairobi Branch and Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS) that deals with review of Business Laws and Regulations and Companies Registry Processes at large.

Tessie is the co-owner of a hair care enterprise and enjoys doing production of natural hair products when she’s not attending to Firm business. She also enjoys travelling to new places.

Nelson Otieno Okeyo - Dispute Resolution Associate

Nelson is a passionate litigator, an avid researcher and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.

He is an International Research Fellow at the Information Society Law Center at the University of Milan, Italy. As part of the Fellowship, he is a part of a cybersecurity team that undertakes research on cyberspace regulation, global surveillance and control, facial recognition, and IoT and automotive, healthcare. Nelson is also a Doctoral Researcher in the International Doctoral Program Project in the field of business and human rights at Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany. He is also pursuing his PhD in data protection law at the University of Bayreuth where he occasionally renders research and teaching assistance to the Chair of African Legal Studies, Faculty of Law, Business and Economics.

Nelson finds happiness in holding one-on-one conversations with real human subjects on a wide range of issues. When he is home, he prefers to play his favorite hymnals on his acoustic guitar. He is also exploring his newly found love for snow hiking.
